1. Our commitment
This statement covers the website blitzesim.com, the web app at app.blitzesim.com and the Blitz eSIM apps for iPhone, iPad and Android.
Accessibility is part of how we design and test new features. When something does not work well for you, we treat it as a bug and fix it.
2. In our apps
The Blitz eSIM apps for iPhone, iPad and Android are built to work with the accessibility settings on your device:
- Screen readers: VoiceOver and TalkBack announce buttons, headings, input fields and status messages, and focus moves to new content when a sheet or dialog opens.
- Voice control: Voice Control on iPhone and iPad and Voice Access on Android can operate buttons by their visible name.
- Larger text: the apps follow your system text size, including the largest accessibility sizes. Screens rearrange themselves instead of cutting off text.
- Dark mode and contrast: the apps offer a light and a dark theme and follow your system settings for increased contrast and bold text.
- Not by colour alone: status, selections and errors are always shown with text or an icon as well as colour.
- Reduced motion: when you turn on Reduce Motion or switch off animations, decorative animations stop.
- Languages: the apps are available in 20 languages, with a right-to-left layout for Arabic and Hebrew.
3. On the website and web app
On blitzesim.com and app.blitzesim.com you can:
- navigate with the keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a link to skip straight to the main content;
- use a screen reader, thanks to headings, page regions and descriptive labels;
- rely on your Reduce Motion setting, which turns off decorative animations;
- read every page in 20 languages, with a right-to-left layout for Arabic and Hebrew.
4. The standard we follow
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and Apple's and Google's accessibility guidelines for our apps.
We test with assistive technology ourselves, including VoiceOver, TalkBack, the largest text sizes and increased contrast. Our website and apps have not yet been audited by an independent party.
5. Known limitations
We know that some parts are not yet fully accessible, or depend on other parties:
- Payment: card details are entered in a secure form from our payment provider. We choose providers that support assistive technology, but we cannot change the form ourselves.
- Installation QR code: a QR code is an image. That is why we always show the installation details as text as well, so you can enter them manually, and on iPhone you can install your eSIM with a single tap.
- Captions and audio descriptions: our apps contain no video with spoken content, so these do not apply.
6. Need help or have feedback?
Is something hard to use, or do you need information in another format? Email us at [email protected]. Tell us which page or screen it is about and, if you like, which device and assistive technology you use.
We will help you with your order in another way if needed, and we use your feedback to improve our website and apps.
7. Changes to this statement
We update this statement when our website or apps change. The date at the top shows when it was last reviewed.
